The unconventional proportions and silhouette is inspired by glorious elephant ears, thus the collection is named after one of the most venerable African elephants, Satao.
This clever design is refined by soft circular shapes, distinctive by design, versatile by functionality.
The Satao Collection is made to be lightweight without compromising anything from enduring durability. Each piece is also very light, thanks to the mesh metal surfaces. The pieces transition seamlessly from indoor to outdoor living, perfect for that So-Cal sunshine. They add coziness to outdoor spaces while adding outdoor charm when used inside. Wider seatbacks allow users to lounge in different sitting positions. Just add your favorite cushions, sit back with a cocktail and you’re all set.
The collection consists of a chair, counter stool, barstool, and lounge chair. The Satao chair and the lounge chair are designed to be stackable. Round seat pads are available as an option and they are also suitable for outdoor use.

Simone Viola was born in Mendrisio, Switzerland, in 1985. He studied industrial design in Milan and soon began collaborating with prominent Italian and international architecture and design studios. In 2011, these experiences led him to establish his own studio in Switzerland, specializing in industrial design and interior spaces.
